The Calabala Arts Association is an independent creative association founded in 2014 and dedicated to the world of authentic theatre for the very young. Over the years, we have produced more than 20 original productions on the stages of various cities and theatres. Our mission is to promote high standards of professional art for the youngest audiences in the country, while remaining true to our authentic artistic principles. We also experiment with new forms — from art installations and inclusive performances to clowning for toddlers. We take part in festivals and also organise festivals and training sessions. The founder, director, and artistic director of the organisation is Almaz Sadriev.

Kalyabaly is a visual, wordless performance for children aged 1.5 years and older, presented at the Irkutsk Puppet Theatre. It offers a non-confrontational journey into a contemporary art gallery, where art objects are created and explored for the youngest audience. Through interactive installations, young viewers are immersed in an extraordinary world, becoming part of the artwork themselves. This is an abstract world of artistic expression, where every child is part of the art. The performance gently introduces the youngest viewers to the language of contemporary culture.
