Founded in 1992, Kolibri is one of Hungary's leading professional children's theatres with a permanent company, offering performances for ages 0-18. With over 20 productions each season, its diverse repertoire includes adaptations of literature, contemporary plays, puppetry, fairy tales, operas, and physical theatre.

A pioneer in Hungarian children's theatre, Kolibri introduced live music, theatre for babies, classroom performances, and innovative adaptations of both classic and contemporary works. Originally a puppet theatre, Kolibri now blends puppetry with prose. With three venues and international collaborations, it enriches Budapest's cultural scene, particularly in youth theatre.
