About the Festival

Celebrating Ireland’s cultural and linguistic diversity, the Mother Tongues Festival uses the arts to foster dialogue and inclusion in a joyful atmosphere.
In 2026, we are unleashing The Power of Story with a rich programme for families with children aged 3 to 10 years old. From dance and drama to music and hands-on workshops, we use stories to entertain, inform and inspire young minds.
An opportunity to come together, share unique family tales and connect with cultures from around the world.
