Dockteatern Tittut is a touring puppet theatre company with its own venue in Stockholm, founded in 1977 by Ing-Mari Tirén. At the time, theatre for children under the age of five was unheard of. Children at this young age were yet “too undeveloped to comprehend art.” But Tirén proved this untrue and a new era of Swedish theatre had begun. Tittut always introduces the show with a prelude outside the theatre space - an effective way to build trust, curiosity and a desire to enter the magical world of theatre.
